Clubs
Students can participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities and academic programs including:
- Girls Just Wanna Lead- After school, co-led by Ms. Fielding and Ms. Francis. Students can earn internship hours and become leaders in the building. Students will develop leadership skills, effective communication skills, positive coping strategies, and improve the culture at Briggs.
- Care Bears - For students who thrive on being kind and want to make a difference in their school and community. This Community Service Club meets once a week during lunchtime and is led by Mrs. Peters.
- Proyecto Mariposas - A leadership/empowerment group for Latina females. The group is facilitates by an outside organization and is conducted in Spanish. This group meets 10-12 times throughout the year (approximately twice a month) during the school day and is coordinated by Mrs. Peters.
- Kitchen of Life - A learning experience that combines cooking and social-emotional learning. Students will visit Kitchen of Life four different times during the semester. Limited to 50 students each school year. Contact Mrs. Peters.
- Learn a Language Club - Wednesdays afterschool in Room 11, where you can learn a new language, work on Ohio Means Jobs Applications, receive Spanish language homework assistance, earn community service hours, and SNACKS!

- Learn a band instrument (no strings or guitar)
