At Briggs HS you will see the following:

  • Teachers are frequently “checking for understanding of student learning” by the use of formative assessments.

  • Teachers that teach the same subjects collaborate on a weekly basis to enhance their instructional practices.

  • Teachers are providing more frequent and substantive feedback to assist students with their learning.

  • Teachers collaborate and share student data to monitor progress of student learning.

  • Shared leadership - A Building Leadership Team of administrators and teachers (BLT) that meets twice a month to progress monitor meeting our building goal and action plans.

Parent Involvement

Parent Assistant Module(PAM) | Help Guide The Parent Assistant Module (PAM) will allow parents to access grade, attendance and other data regarding their children at Briggs High School. This is a PILOT program and a limited number of teachers are participating this year. There are areas in the system that may be of interest to parents beyond grade and attendance data. Each parent will have a username and password that will allow access to data for their child ONLY. Parents will need to come to Briggs between 10:30AM and 2PM to obtain login information. Ask for one of the parent consultants. This cannot be done over the phone.
